What Is Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)?

GPR is a non-destructive testing (NDT) technology that sends radar pulses into the ground or concrete to reveal what’s hidden below.

It identifies:

- Metallic and non-metallic utilities (gas, water, electrical, fiber) -
- Reinforcing steel (rebar, post-tension cables) -
- Voids, conduits, and buried obstructions -
- Changes in material thickness or composition -

Unlike traditional digging or x-rays, GPR scanning is safe, fast, and leaves no surface damage.
